
A carved pumpkin is probably the most classic Halloween symbol. In this session, we will use the Pinching technique, which is an essential hand-building technique to learn when you first begin to work with clay. It involves positioning the clay between the thumb and fingers and applying pressure while rotating the piece to thin it out and ultimately raise the height of the vessel.
Halloween Pumpkin trivia in general, are symbols of abundance, and during Halloween night, they are often used to ward off evil spirits, alongside other symbols like a black cat. Pumpkins can also represent a permanent home, as they are seen as sturdy and long-lasting.
