Ideal for students with previous wheel throwing experience (you are expected to know how to Center & Pull your clay) or have taken our Wheel Throwing for Beginners workshop, this Intermediate workshop is for students ready to move on to more complicated forms and have a desire to perfect their sense of craftsmanship. There will be a focus on a wide range of methods and technical skills used to create more complex and advanced functional forms such as Bowls, Plates and Mugs. You will learn to recognize flaws in construction and will master techniques to not only fix them, but ultimately avoid them in the future. Finally you will learn how to incorporate unique, decorative elements into your work such as handles and other surface and body alterations such as the "drop down lip”.

Day 2 - Pasta Bowls & Serving Bowls
Day 3 - Tapas Plates & Sandwich Plates
Day 4 - Lunch Plate & Dinner Plate
Day 5 - Espresso Cups & Large Mugs
Day 6 - Handles for Drinkware
Included:
- Tools
- Apron
- 1 kg of clay per class
- Bisque-firing & Glaze-firing for TWO of your finished pieces at the end of each class. In total, you will complete the course with 10-12 finished pieces. (All finished pieces will be food safe and fully functional.)
